Just finished my guest strip for JBC:U, "TYLER: The Movie: The Trailer: The Comic" which should be going up on Monday(?).
I just slapped together 37 panels (albeit simple ones) full of me, cameos and every trailer cliché I could think of, except the jumping away from an explosion (I didn't feel like drawing a llama) and a Matrix rip-off (because I hate them). Now I can get back to focusing on AIS and Wicked Life. And fanart. And whatever else.

Don't think its going to be as good a flick as the past two by any stretch, not even considering how much personally is riding on this (the Black Costume saga is, obviously, my favorite storyline in all of comicdom). But god damn. Spidey holding Sandman's face against the train, Harry knocking him into the wall... Gonna have some nice fight scenes. :O

Since the rest of SA is posting about it I might as well too:
BADCON BADCON BADCON! We're going (as guests?!). Its in Albany in late April. I should actually have a comic by that point. I like talking in short, staccato sentences. This pot pie is good. I don't actually know much about the con yet. Seems like gaming with an anime shard wedged in, which is good. This is the website.

I rarely say this (or anything) and mean it, but... the latest Achewood arc is blowing my mind. I've been in love with Achewood since I started reading it, its beyond surreal, but right now its reaching Kubrick-level of the blurring of the genius/madman line. I don't even know what's going on but I feel profoundly moved by it.
Start of the arc
My favorite strip so far
Random old Achewood strip
(Something about the phrase "Its not going to be okay this time," is decidedly the most unnerving thing I've ever heard. >_>)

Apparently there was a holiday of some sorts on Monday. These are the kind of things I should be made aware, making that whole AU trip for naught. >_> Well, not entirely naught, I got some boards (just enough for what's still sitting around my room...), picked up some Hellboy finally and caught up on Wolverine: Origins.
Now if you'll excuse me, Guitar Hero.

will update this entry with the results later, but probably will have a car later tonight. :3
Update: I am now the proud owner of a car in some other dude's lawn. Will be registering and titling and doing whatever other reaming is required all up in the Saybrook DMV after work tomorrow, and then either head home to do some cursing and head straight back to West Haven to get the car (o_O no likey drivey that much-y).
The car's a 1987 Ford Taurus and running-wise seems in perfectly good condition (low mileage too). There are some problems (can't get into trunk yet *deadhookerdeadhookerdeadhooker*, the driver side back door is missing a handle, locks are kinda weird, might be a problem with the radio's existence) but it runs fine and that's enough for me to start with. All other issues can be addressed later. It is supposedly a teal color, but in the dark it ranged from jungle green to navy blue so it was hard to gauge it accurately. The naming process will begin shortly after it becomes settled in its new environs.
The Subaru, now, is on its way out. I will be cleaning it out and ceremoniously stripping it of all I care to. Probably end up with another rear-view mirror for my desk, and the infamous Hotwire will be given its own memorial location
And now I'm in such a good mood, I've decided I'm going to do something for you people: I'm going to stop talking about comics. In here, at least. I was thinking on the ride home tonight that as much as I love typing in this journal, I wanna "blog". So now I'm going to focus my rants into an article format and start publishing them in a seperate LJ. If you wanna read, go ahead and friend it once its up. If not, now you're spared. I will begin by discussing this week's pull for me, and start writing my retrospective on the Symbiotes, aka Why Hybrid Should Have His Own Comic And Toxin Should Burn In Hell.

http://marvel.toonzone.net/main/del aney/ Some of these I would have wanted to see made. But these are possibly the worst taglines I've ever seen Mar-Vell's, specifically. But his flick would have apparently had Ronan and... Grand Admiral Thrawn, it looks like. >_> So that'd be cool.
And whoo on Punisher 2 in the works. I don't care what you say, everyone who isn't me and Kevin. I liked that flick.

Finished Transmetropolitan's last volume. Firmly cemented in my top 5 comics ever, if not the top spot. And the last three pages are going to stick with me for a good long while, too, I'm sure.
